I’m going to try and blog this all out so it’ll make sense in my head.
SERAPHIM LEIGH SOAPS is about to go through some major changes.
I recently realized that the base i was using for my soap bars was not the best quality i could be offering. so i’ve nixxed buying any more base from the junction, and am now ordering base from across the country - much better quality, more natural, and SLS-free! Of course, this side effect of this is that my prices are going to have to go up a little bit to reflect the shipping cost i’m paying to have the base. I’m thinking no more than 0.50$ a bar.
Hopefully, i can find good SLS-free base in Toronto somewhere.
Next up, and what i’m really excited about, are lip balms. I’m fairly certain these guys won’t get too complex, and will stay mainly singular scents that echo many of the soap bars - ie. green apple, watermelon, mandarin, raspberry.
I’ve found an adorable lip balm tube that’s oval shaped, very excited to get those.

I’m also working on labels. Finally.
This is an example of one of the roleplayers soaps (the blue sparkly one)
The mixture of fonts, i’m really fond of, and i think they turned out fantastic.. the baby blue background will not be part of the final product, and these will be printed on circle labels to fit on the dice soap, of course.
Also in the works (aka on my mind) is solid perfume sticks. this is just sexy. these will be packaged in black regular lip balm tubes, and will feature the more complex scents — muskoka boathouse, christmas spice — as well as new scents i’ve ordered: instant karma, a duplicate of karma by LUSH: a meditative blend of patchouli, sweet orange, lavendin, pine, lemongrass and elelmi, with notes of incense, amber and musk to ground it, and cranberry yuzu, which i dunno about you, but i got super excited when i read it, it sounds marvellous: this composition blends the exotic Japanese hybrid between a grapefruit and a mandarin with New England’s tartest swamp dwelling berry… the all American cranberry.
These will be matched with the offering of shower gels - very likely starting in 4 oz blue oval bottles, and as soon as i can afford it, also offering a 8 oz version. Colourless.
And a shaving soap. Or two.
I must be insane.

Why did Aurora sleep for 100 years? - to tell us that you might have to wait for quite some time for your true love to come along, sometimes very long, but it’s worth it.
Why did Princess Jasmine fall for Aladdin? - to let us know that what the heart wants, it wants it no matter what.

It’s been decided. On October 20th, 2010, we will wear purple in honor of the 7 gay boys who committed suicide in recent weeks/months due to homophobic abuse in their homes at at their schools. Purple represents Spirit on the LGBTQ flag and that’s exactly what we’d like all of you to have with you: spirit. Please know that times will get better and that you will meet people who will love you and respect you for who you are, no matter your sexuality. Please wear purple on October 20th. Tell your friends, family, co-workers, neighbors and schools. RIP Tyler Clementi, Asher Brown, Seth Walsh, Justin Aaberg, Raymond Chase, Billy Lucas and Cody J. Barker (picture not shown). You are loved.
